Sam is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Lic. #104988 and has enjoyed working with adolescents, adults, couples and families over the past 10+ years. Sam is passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community, adolescents, adults, high-achievers, and male mental-health, utilizing strength-based, cognitive behavioral therapy, and humanistic approaches to counseling.

Over the years, Sam has gained experience in various roles, including peer counseling, youth crisis-counseling, community mental health, intensive treatment, sex education, case-management, family, couples, group, and individual therapy.

Sam strives to embody the values of empathy, unconditional positive regard, boundary setting, and congruence (being real, authentic, genuine) with his clients. He believes allowing people to be themselves all the while responding authentically fosters connection, depth, and genuineness – important ingredients for healthy relationships.

Sam is married and in his free time enjoys swimming, surfing, the outdoors, and playing video/tabletop games.
