Karen is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) who is passionate about supporting individuals as they heal from trauma, navigate depression, and work through life’s emotional challenges. She understands how overwhelming emotions can feel and believes therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and free from judgment.
With training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Karen helps clients build practical, evidence-based skills to manage intense emotions, strengthen relationships, and create a life that feels meaningful and worth living. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in real-life tools clients can use both in and out of session.
Karen’s work is rooted in a trauma-informed approach, allowing clients to process difficult experiences at their own pace while honoring their strengths, resilience, and personal goals. She strives to create a warm, safe environment where healing feels approachable and growth feels possible.
Karen works with clients ages 12 and older and offers therapy throughout California via telehealth, as well as in-person sessions in San Francisco. She accepts private pay and works with clients who use Aetna and CalVCB Victims of Crime benefits.
