Amit Yohanan

Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Supervised by Camille Black, LMFT

Amit’s passion for therapy is rooted in the powerful moment when a client says, “I did it.” Those moments of growth (big or small) fuel her commitment to walk alongside her clients, celebrating their successes, mourning their losses, and offering steady support through life’s ups and downs.

Research shows that one of the most important elements of therapy is the therapeutic relationship itself. With this in mind, Amit creates a space of unconditional positive regard where clients feel seen, accepted, and valued for who they are, no matter what they’re facing.

In her work, Amit draws from Attachment and Family Systems theories, incorporating CBT and DBT skills to help manage symptoms of anxiety and depression. Her approach is direct yet compassionate, grounded in authenticity, humor, respect, and understanding.

Amit has extensive experience supporting adolescents and has worked in diverse settings including schools, intensive outpatient programs, residential treatment, and group practices. Raised in Agoura Hills, she holds a deep connection to the local community. Outside of her work, Amit enjoys relaxing with her Nintendo Switch and spending time with her kitten, Bento.

Her services are in-network with Aetna insurance and she also works with Victims of Crime through CalVCB, ensuring greater access to care for those who need it.
